“Chandni Chowk to China” New York premiere
The second international premiere of Chandni Chowk to China was held at AMC Empire Theater, 234 West 42nd Street, (Between seventh & eight Avenues), New York City, United States on January 8. Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, director Nikhil Advani as well as Akshay’s wife Twinkle were present on the occasion. Akshay’s best friend Toronto-based tycoon Ajay Virmani, lent his luxury 17-seater jet to his friend so that the cast and crew of Chandni Chowk to China can attend all the premieres in North America without any delay. Infact the cast of CC2C stayed for only 35 minutes at LA premiere because they had to move to this New York premiere. These premieres are quite significant too because it is an Warner Bros film and it will release at par with any Hollywood film with 50 prints in the US. The next premiere of the movie would be at AMC Yonge & Dundas Square, Toronto, Canada followed by the London premiere at the famous Empire Theater, Leicester Square, London. Akshay seems to be on a great high this year with his next movie Kambakkht Ishq also an international project with a lot of Hollywood stars.

Chandni Chowk to China premiere at Los Angeles, California which was the first worldwide premiere of the movie. Akshay Kumar has left no stone unturned in the promotion of the movie after the huge success of Aamir Khan’s Ghajini and Shahrukh Khan Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. There would be seven international premieres of movie before its release on January 16. These photos are of the first premiere of Chandni Chowk to China held at the Warner Brother premises becoming the first Bollywood movie to do so. Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna and lead actress of CC2C were also present at the premiere. There were a lot of Hollywood directors also present on the occasion including John Landis, the director of Beverly Hills Cop 3, Blues Brothers, Coming To America and Trading Places, Rob Cohen of Dragonheart, The Fast & Furious, Bruce Lee Story and McG, and who has just finished Terminator 4. The exact schedule of the premieres are Los Angeles premiere on January 7 followed by New York premiere on January 9, Toronto, Canada premiere on January 10, London Premiere at the the Empire theater, Leicester Square on January 11, Dubai premiere on January 12, Bangkok premiere on January 13 and finally Delhi premiere on January 14.
